1964 MGB Roadster Pull Handle
Description / History
This car has been rebuilt to the highest standard to make a very special mg.
Its shell was from America and in first class condition to begin with. It was striped to bare metal and converted to right hand drive and painted to the highest of standard. Next it was fitted out with new carpets, seats, hood and frame plus tonnoe and wind screen. Both axles were rebuilt and all new brake cylinders and shoes to the rear. The front has v8 discs and callipers also drilled. It has up rated shocks all round and new wheels and tyres. Any chrome was replaced if not up to scratch and new lights fitted all round. It has got the alloy bonnet as well.
The engine that’s in the car now is a 5 bearing one that has had a lot of work done.
It’s been bored out to 1950 with liners and had a skim. Fitted with omega pistons and the crank ground and balanced as were the rods. A piper rally cam was used and an alloy fly wheel with race clutch. The head is stage two with loads of metal taken out and polishing to ports reshaped combustion chambers. It has a Webber 45 and race manifold stainless exhaust and it has a five speed gearbox conversion. All new cooling was fitted with up rated rad and kenlowe fan. It has a 16 row oil cooler with all new pipes, Lucus race distributor with all new ignition parts. An new alternator has been fitted as well.
This is a quick mg that drives very well and handles and stops like a much more modern car but still keeps all its original looks. It’s the perfect classic mg and has been restored with no expense spared. It’s been about six years since restoration and has not been out in any bad weather in fact it has done no more than a few thousand miles in that time.
So this is your chance to buy one of the nicest mg's money can buy. Its number plate is transferable and probably worth 2k on its own. This car has had 10k spent on it and a lot of time to get to this stage. That’s without buying it in the first place.
PX WILL BE CONSIDERED.
